Product reviews that don't slow your store down.

Recenzo collects reviews on autopilot and shows them with widgets built for speed — the star rating renders with no JavaScript at all. Verified buyers, photo & video reviews, EU-ready disclosure. Your Lighthouse score stays untouched.

Everything a reviews app should do

Full collection-to-showcase loop, minus the bloat.

Review requests on autopilot

Emails go out automatically after fulfillment, with one polite reminder if the customer hasn't replied. You set the timing.

Verified buyer badges

Reviews are matched to real orders, so every verified badge means an actual purchase — trust your visitors can check.

Photo & video reviews

Customers attach photos (Growth) or video (Pro) right from the review form. Media is served from a CDN, lazily.

Moderation that respects your time

Auto-publish rules, a clean queue, bulk actions and public replies — handle a week of reviews in minutes.

Painless review import

Export a CSV from your current reviews app, upload it once, done. Ratings, replies, photos and verified flags come along.

SEO rich snippets built in

Ratings sync to Shopify metafields and AggregateRating JSON-LD, so stars can appear under your products in Google.

The fastest review widgets on Shopify — by design

The star rating badge isn't JavaScript that loads fast. It's not JavaScript at all: it renders from Shopify product metafields directly in your theme's Liquid, like native theme content.

The full review widget is plain vanilla JavaScript — no framework, no dependencies — deferred so it never blocks rendering, and under 3 KB gzipped. Most review apps ship far heavier scripts.

Measured on a clean Dawn theme, before vs. after install. Methodology available on request.

EU

EU Omnibus compliance, built in — not bolted on

Since 2022, EU law requires stores that display reviews to state whether and how they verify them. Recenzo ships a disclosure block in the widget footer that explains exactly that, in your customer's language.

  • “How we verify reviews” disclosure in the widget, localized
  • Verified badges backed by real order matching — not self-declared
  • Incentivized reviews are labeled, and incentives never depend on the rating
  • GDPR by design: data requests and erasure handled automatically

Frequently asked questions

When does Recenzo launch?

Recenzo is being prepared for the Shopify App Store right now. Leave your email via the button below and we'll write the moment it's live — no other emails, ever.

Will it slow my store down?

No — that's the whole point. The star badge is rendered by your theme with zero JavaScript, and the full review widget is under 3 KB gzipped and deferred. We measured zero Lighthouse impact on a clean Dawn theme.

How does the review import work?

Export the CSV from your current reviews app, upload it to Recenzo, confirm the column mapping. Ratings, text, photos, replies and verified flags are preserved, and you get a per-row report of anything that couldn't be imported.

What is EU Omnibus compliance and do I need it?

If you sell to EU customers and show reviews, you're required to disclose whether and how you verify them. Recenzo shows that disclosure automatically in the widget, localized to your customer's language.

What happens when I hit the Free plan's email limit?

Nothing breaks. Widgets keep working and reviews keep coming in — we just pause new review request emails until next month, and you can upgrade any time.

Do photos and merchant replies survive the import?

Yes. Photos are re-hosted on our CDN, and your existing replies stay attached to their reviews.

Can I try it before the public launch?

We're onboarding a small group of early stores. Write to us via the support link and tell us about your store.
